The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 is underway, bringing together some of the biggest international stars in T20 cricket. The tournament is hosting its 14th edition, with seven teams battling across 39 matches. The CPL 2026 final is scheduled for September 20.
Several players in this year’s competition have also enjoyed considerable success in the Indian Premier League (IPL), one of the world’s premier T20 tournaments. While renowned IPL winners such as Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine are part of the CPL, they have been excluded from our list due to their established history of multiple IPL titles. Instead, we focus on five other IPL champions who are set to make their presence felt in the Caribbean this season.
Here are five other IPL champions featuring in CPL 2026
1.Romario Shepherd
Romario Shepherd enjoyed a memorable run with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, becoming an IPL champion for the first time in 2025. RCB secured their maiden IPL title after defeating the Punjab Kings in the final.
Shepherd was also part of RCB’s squad during the 2026 IPL season, when the franchise successfully defended its crown and won back-to-back titles. The versatile West Indian all-rounder has now returned to the Caribbean, where he continues to represent the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL 2026 season.
2. Quinton de Kock
Quinton de Kock is a two-time IPL champion, having won the title with Mumbai Indians in 2019 and 2020. During his three-year stint with the franchise, the South African wicketkeeper-batter played a crucial role in both successful campaigns and emerged as a reliable performer at the top of the order.
The experienced batter is now representing the Barbados Tridents in the CPL 2026 season. With his wealth of T20 experience and international pedigree, de Kock remains a key player for the franchise.
